The Best Pancakes in Liverpool
"The Great Northern branch of Home Sweet Home offers an afternoon tea with a difference. As well as a selection of loose leaf teas or coffees and a tier of mini open bagels with maple cured BLT and smoked salmon, there is also a tier of fresh churros. The warm Spanish style doughnuts are dusted with cinnamon sugar and Dreamcheese frosting and served with warm Nutella dip and fresh strawberries."
"From the towering cakes to the boozy milkshakes, Home Sweet Home is a must for anyone with a sweet tooth. The American-inspired brunch restaurant will wipe away any morning blues with its titan breakfasts; opt for pancake stacks with a breakfast cocktail thrown in for good measure."
"Since opening in 2013 The Bagelry has helped fill a bagel shaped hole in the city. The Chinatown store is dedicated to hand crafted boiled and baked bagels, offering American and Jewish varieties, alongside their own gourmet and seasoned flavoured bagels. There’s black forest bagels, cinnamon raisin bagels, blueberry bagels, salted jalapeño bagels and beetroot bagels to name but a few."
"The Bagerly specialises in, you guessed it, bagels, and they know how to make a good one over here. Nelson Street’s favourite bakery makes all their round shaped food fresh on site with loads of different flavours and rainbow bagels on the weekend!. You can also find some pretty impressive doughnuts here too alongside great coffee."
"Before the arrival of The Bagelry we just felt like there was something missing in Liverpool. We can’t really explain it, there was just a certain hollow to us as we navigated our way through the labyrinth of the city. A bagel-shaped hole two best friends fulfilled a couple years ago."
"Nordic inspired, TAKK is the result of the founders travels throughout Scandinavia and Iceland. The slick interior and minimalist design scream quality while also an enticing level of comfort. Their house espresso is a single origin coffee from Finca Miravalle in El Salvador, while regularly featuring guest espresso from some of the best roasters in Europe and further afield."

You may know Takk as a coffee hang-out, but this Icelandic-inspired spot is also a great place to enjoy a working lunch. Check out the satisfying range of Mediterranean sandwiches, flaky pastries and chunks of cake on offer throughout the day."
"Restaurants Coffeeshops. Takk is a love letter to scandi coffee houses, and it’s been serving up hygge vibes to savvy Mancunians for years. They now have three outlets across the city, but we still love their Northern Quarter branch the most."
"What to expect: A vegetarian and vegan cafe in Liverpool with a bohemian atmosphere. Arguably the most established of vegetarian restaurants in Liverpool, The Egg Cafe is a go-to spot for those who love hearty veggie and vegan food with a homemade feel. The bohemian hideout can be found in a cosy loft space, perfect for a bite to eat at lunch or a spotlit dinner."
"Back before vegan food was trendy, the Egg was one of the only herbivorous hot spots in Liverpool. Based just off Bold Street, this rustic cafe is tucked away behind a mysterious purple door. The café itself is quite a large loft space situated over two levels."
"White Wolf Kitchen is housed within White Wolf Yoga, a place of tranquillity, relaxation and serenity. "Another Instagrammable spot in Manchester that is located in the heart of the Northern Quarter is Evelyn’s. Evelyn’s is a perfect place for brunch and it has a wide variety of dishes with a twist and a big plant-based section. I don’t know if I already told you in the previous posts, but Manchester is actually a vegetarian capital of the UK, so if you’re a vegan or a vegetarian, you will love going out in Manchester!"
"The second food spot on this list, Evelyn's is succulent heaven, making it a great photo spot. Their brunch was delicious (some of the best pancakes I've ever had), and they're conveniently located right around the corner from the famous Affleck's indoor market in the Northern Quarter. "A reliable cafe and restaurant in the Northern Quarter, and a good-looking one at that, Evelyn's is perhaps best-known for its brunches and Bloody Marys. Its chunky buttermilk pancakes are dense and delicious, topped with fresh blueberries and honeycomb butter. 4 Hilton Street, M4 1NB"

"I've only recently visited here even though it's not too far away in the car. There are some nice nature shots here, and with the centre being home to a range of different flowers, there are many different colours available to shoot. I think the best time to visit may be in the spring to capture the colours in the best light."
"Boasting one of the largest outdoor terrace areas in Manchester for outdoor drinking, The Shambles denotes the area bordered by historic medieval pubs The Old Wellington and Sinclair’s Oyster Bar. The black and white timber pubs were famously moved here and rebuilt brick-by-brick in 1999 next to Manchester Cathedral as part of the redevelopment of the city centre. The pubs are historic landmarks beloved of tourists to the city and are particularly busy on match days."
