Best places for Brunch in Liverpool
"Blawd bakery made a name for itself making some of the best cakes and doughnuts in Manchester. Previously working from a basement kitchen in Common, the superstar bakers have expanded with the launch of their first cafe, SiOP SHOP. Owned by Iwan Roberts and Lucy Jackson, the bakery and café on Tib Street is set to launch soon, serving a range of breakfast and lunch dishes alongside their famous bakes."
"Serving up coffee, doughnuts and more, Siop Shop has made the decision to offer a collection of outdoor tables for walk-ins only on a first-come-first-served basis from this week, so you can find menus, opening times and more information on the website here."
"This micro-bakery is tucked away just off Hardman Street but you really do not want to miss it. Perhaps my favourite of the bakeries I visited, this tiny little shop has the most incredible looking sourdough loaves, doughnuts in every flavour you can imagine and the friendliest staff. I can see why there is so much hype in the city around this place, the doughnuts are just that good – my mum even felt the need to tell the girls working there that it was ‘the best doughnut she’s ever had’."
"A post shared by The Wild Loaf (@the_wild_loaf) on Feb 13, 2019 at 3:02am PST. Tucked away just off Hardman Street, The Wild Loaf micro-bakery is a real hidden gem of Liverpool. Their doughnuts are mini marvels filled with heavenly flavour combination and our favourites are topped with delicious fresh fruit and cream."
"This mico-bakery specialises in naturally leavened organic sourdough breads, extravagant doughnuts and beautiful sandwiches. They are currently only operating an online delivery service which you can find out more about on their website. View this post on Instagram"
"A Tafford Centre pit stop isn’t the same without some warm topped cookie dough!. My Cookie Dough has reopened at the shopping centre – returning with a large list of flavours to try from Red Velvet to Fudge & Honeycomb (which you can customise by adding your own choice of toppings and ice cream). My Cookie Dough also launched a Build Your Own kit which you can have delivered straight to your doorstep containing all the ingredients you need to make enjoy your My Cookie Dough experience at home."
"Taking the humble traybake to new heights, My Cookie Dough is among the best dessert shops in Manchester. Their Slutty Brownie stacks are a mouthwatering mess of chocolate brownie, crushed Oreos and their house cookie mix, served up as chunky slabs and coated in a hefty drizzle of Nutella. With locations at both the Trafford Centre and the Arndale, you won't have to travel far to get your hands on these bad boys."
"🍰 Seriously gooey hot cookie dough, with tons of topping options to choose from including Nutella, Biscoff, Red Velvet, Kinder and even Strawberry Cheesecake."
"The discreet roof garden located in Oh Me Oh My on Water Street is a must visit to get the perfect Instagram shot with the famous Liverbirds and the Three Graces as your backdrop. It was at one time one of Liverpool’s hidden gems but now the secret is out so it is best to get their as early as you can especially if it is a warm day. The Rooftop Garden is open from March to October with various events throughout the year including BBQs and brunches which is perfect when the sun is shining with a cocktail in hand."
"A haven away from the bustle of the city, the roof garden at Goodness Gracious sits next to the famous Liver building by Liverpool’s docks. Filled with beautiful flowers, blankets, cushions and plenty of sun, the roof terrace gives way to many a blissful summer afternoon as a cute date spot or a quick break from work. It’s hard not to take a picture of this for Instagram!"
"Goodness Gracious roof garden is a open air bar from the team behind Leaf, in Bold Street, and One Fine Day, in Castle Street. It can be found eight floors up in West Africa House and boasts stunning views of the Three Graces. The hidden gem is only open when the weather is beautiful, so be sure to make it top of your list if you're only going for one drink in the sun."
"St. Ann’s Church is a Grade I listed, 18th century temple located in front of St. Ann’s Square, at the heart of Manchester’s shopping district, where the fashionable shopping avenues of New Cathedral Street and Barton Arcade converge. The church was consecrated at this spot in 1712, when Manchester was little more than a rural parish town. Named after St. Anne, the church’s shortened name is a reference to Lady Ann Bland who was its first patron."
"People enjoy the Macooza night at The Hideout Bar in Southport. Photo by Zack Downey of ZEDPhotography. Is this bar the best kept secret in Southport?"
"If you're more of a beer drinker, BrewChimp on Church Road is the place for you. Alongside venues in Stretford and Flixton, BrewChimp's Urmston haunt is the official home of the local craft beer and wine bar. Promising to ‘do things differently’, the cosy bar is full of quirks (including an old-fashioned shop bell) that’ll make you want to stay for more than just the one drink."
