"Just a stones throw away across the road from Steam Yard is The Lucky Fox. Even though it’s most famous for it’s amazing fried chicken, waffles and lucky shakes, which everyone in there is always trying to get the perfect Instagram of, it is also a super ideal place to grab a coffee. It’s quirky decor and American style dinner atmosphere, creates a completely different vibe to your standard coffee and brunch outing, making it a truly unique spot in Sheffield and a new rival in the coffee shop scene."
"A post shared by alex (@alexcutts) on Feb 29, 2016 at 4:34am PST. This small Brooklyn-inspired diner is the place to head if you’re craving a taste of classic American cuisine. Their crispy fried chicken sandwiches are the star of the menu, and can be customised with an array of delicious toppings, while the waffles, pancakes and shakes are perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth."
"For the best burger in Manchester (and maybe the entire Northwest), head to Almost Famous, a low-key restaurant with two locations in Manchester, as well as in Liverpool and Leeds. The burgers are not for the faint of heart, with ingredients pilled high, especially on options like the Crack Shack, which features a double cheeseburger, fried chicken, tater tots, and bacon combined on a bun. There is a vegan option and wings, fries, and a cocktail list that includes a selection called the Bitch Juice."
"Why: As far as burger joints go, you’ll struggle to find a city that doesn’t have a least a dozen to choose from. Almost Famous has all the qualities you’d expect from a casual burger restaurant."
"Italia Uno is Sheffield’s one and only authentic Italian takeaway and coffee house. This exciting concept is run by Kimberley Rose, who gives her personal guarantee that no other takeaway works harder to bring you fresh home cooked food."

"02/04/2021: When we arrived we were waiting outside due to corvid regulations. we thought that's ok, fish and chip shops are quick in's and out's, but not this place. we were outside waiting for 15 mins, then when we finally got served we were told it was cash only (their was no signs stating this) and were told to go to an ATM which luckily for us I drive and could get to one quick."
"A beautiful stately home nestled amongst the Peak District National Park, Chatsworth House offers an awe-inspiring and educational visit for all ages. The large mansion is renowned for its artwork and has over 30 rooms to peruse, from the Painted Hall to the Guest Bedrooms. The vast estate is made up of 105 acres of garden-filled with sculptures, waterworks, and a maze, a 1,000-acre park, and a farmyard."
"You may call me "Lizzie" for every day,"My Peral” for Sunday."Goddness Divine", but only on very social occassions. You may only call me "Mrs. Darcy" when you are compeletely, and perfectly, and incandescently happy."
"An interactive journey back in time, the Stockport Air Raid Shelters offers a glimpse into how people lived during the wartime blitz. Explore the labyrinth of tunnels filled with displays, posters, recreated living and sleeping areas, and a bunker, all accompanied by an audio guide highlighting the cultural, political, and social aspects living in the shelters. I Opening Times: Tuesday-Friday 1-5pm, Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 11am-5pm."
"The Stockport Air Raid Shelters are a jolting walk back in time near Manchester. Located about 6 miles from the main Manchester area and in great Manchester, this place is an interesting, short excursion from the city Centre. The place will transport you into a dark time- the Britain of the 1940s during the war."
"Stockport Air Raid Shelters, Great Underbank, Stockport, Cheshire, SK1 1NE - Visit now. Stockport museums are beginning a phased reopening of their sites. The first to re-open were Bramall Hall and Stockport Air Raid Shelters."
"Described as a ‘delightful high Victorian garden’, Biddulph Grange Garden is home to an incredible collection of plants from around the world. Shrouded in beauty, colour, and tranquillity, Biddulph offers a truly unique day out as you wander the landscaped gardens, discover hidden tunnels and pathways, stroll the woodland walk, and visit the undisturbed lake. "While the country house at Hare Hill Hall is privately owned, the garden is cared for by the National Trust. The star here is the walled garden, a blaze of colour in early-summer when the rhododendrons and azaleas burst into flower. There are also uncommon varieties of poppy, iris, lupin, phlox and echinacea."
"Down the River Bollin, Riverside Park is north of the town centre and merges with West Park. Despite being surrounded by the town, Riverside Park feels remote and has two big parcels of woodland, along with a community orchard, butterfly meadow and wildflower meadow. This last area is grazed by docile longhorn cattle to help stop invasive grass species."
