"Right next to the Football Museum, you can find the beautiful Manchester Cathedral. While I have as much with churches as I have with football, I did have a quick look inside and the architecture was beautiful:"

This is a lovely spot for a stroll, especially in the spring and summer, when many of the plants are in full bloom. Highlights include the glasshouses, also Grade II-listed, with temperate plants from Australia, Asia, and South Africa; the Victorian Garden; and the Four Seasons Garden, which is colorful at any time of year."

"The Botanical Gardens are just down the road from Endcliffe Park but are also a prime picnic spot. The cafe does great coffee, which you can enjoy whilst sitting amongst plants from all over the world. But the best spot in the springtime is just in front of the beautiful crocuses."

"If I could only visit one place in the Peak District with kids or without it would be Chatsworth House. The House and Grounds are extensive and any absolute must for any UK bucket list!. I personally love wandering around the House and learning more about this history of the family however this probably won’t be the favourite activity of those travelling with small children."

"Encliffe Park, in the south west, combines woodland and parks to create one of the largest and most popular parks in Sheffield. It was opened in 1887 for Queen Victoria’s Jubilee. The park is populated with lots of things to see and do, such as the Porter Brook, which runs through the park and forms two ponds."
