"A post shared by Home Sweet Home (@homesweethomeuk) on Feb 23, 2020 at 4:15am PST. Another year-round pancake favourite, Home Sweet Home might be down to just one Manchester site now after closing their Great Northern Warehouse branch at the end of last year but their pancakes are still as banging as ever. Find them in the Northern Quarter to indulge in plates like these, topped with salted caramel, biscoff sauce, cream, strawberries and cinnamon crunch."
"From the towering cakes to the boozy milkshakes, Home Sweet Home is a must for anyone with a sweet tooth. The American-inspired brunch restaurant will wipe away any morning blues with its titan breakfasts; opt for pancake stacks with a breakfast cocktail thrown in for good measure."
"As the name indicates, the café is best suited to give you the perfect vibe of being at home. If you are looking for late-night coffee shops in Manchester city centre, then you are good to go here. Along with the yummy coffees, the signature dish is cheeseburger toasties."
"Bringing a taste of New Zealand to Sheffield, Tamper Sellers Wheel has become one of the city’s choice destinations for everything from coffee and cake, to a hearty brunch. The place is always packed to the rafters and it’s easy to see why with the quality on offer. Stop by to try the fantastic selection of tasty coffee on offer; as well as the wonderful array of homemade treats; which are always varied and tasty."
"Tamper is the city’s ultimate in New Zealand culture; offering a creative space to come together. We’d recommend Tamper Sellers Wheel as a place for an afternoon or Friday evening renedez-vous. There’s always a great atmosphere in Tamper with the bustle of business meetings, friends catching up and more successful dates can drown out the sound of any awkward silences."
"On a mission to bring some Kiwi magic to the streets of Sheffield. The little brother to the ever so popular Tamper at Sellers Wheel, this small stylist café has been designed by its owners in keeping with their New Zealand roots. The coffee here tastes great and you you’ll never get bored of coming back as they are constantly changing the roast on offer."
"Veggie & Vegan Friendly – If you’re vegan, a lover of coffee and crave a peanut butter brownie then look no further than the Steam Yard. Eating cake just somehow got better!. Plus the brownies have nuts in, so surely that’s one of your five a day, right??"
"Sheffield's own slice of Americana, with laid-back staff serving excellent coffee and doughnuts. There's also bagels, pastrami, grilled cheese and brownies for the full indulgent American experience."
"What: Described by its founders as “a big fat love letter to Reykjavik – its people, and their love for the coffee bean”, this Scandinavian coffee house and brunch kitchen provides not one, but three welcoming spaces in which to meet, work and enjoy great coffee and food. its Northern Quarter location is as Scandi as you like, with big, communal wooden tables, exposed brickwork and arty prints on the walls. One of Takk’s major draws is its artisan coffee, which is a single origin coffee from Finca Miravalle in El Salvador (though it does feature guest espresso from some of the best roasters in Europe and further afield too)."
"Takk is a simple room in the Northern Quarter that’s been pushing the Manchester coffee scene forward for years. Stripped backbenches and a room full of co-workers sipping drinks from their big wholesome mugs. Great simple breakfast options too."

"A brand new “all day dining and drinking” outdoor terrace is opening up at Ducie Street Warehouse this week, and while bookings are being taken, walk-in service is also expected, so you can find menus, opening times and more information via the website here. You can also find more information about some of the events happening here."
"This underground bohemian non-profit café serves also as an exhibition space for local up and coming artists; so enjoy coffee and lunch, while admiring the latest art installation, in the company of creative individuals. Tucked away, just off Oldham Street, lit with a neon pink sign, and a quirky window display, follow the artwork down the stairs as you are led into the café. Greeted by a buzz of chatter, an assortment of miss matched comfy chairs, and a book case with books to borrow, you are instantly made to feel welcome."
"This not-for-profit establishment located in the heart of Manchester has combined creativeness with non-alcoholic beverages and craftsmanship. This is the perfect place to head if you’re looking for a relaxed yet fun atmosphere. Regular events and art exhibitions are extremely popular here, the delicious cups of hot coffee are just a great bonus!"
"The Kelham Island establishment is home to PlayStation gaming pods, retro arcade machines, and a pool machine that all visitors are welcome to play. A 220-capacity live music venue has hosted the likes of Deaf Havana and Annie Mac – no surprise given that the owner, Oliver Sykes, is the lead singer of the bad Bring Me the Horizon. If that’s not a big enough reason to visit, the 100% vegan bar and street food kitchen will be; Church – Temple of Fun boasts vegan burgers, hot dogs, loaded fries, and a wide range of sides alongside delicious alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails."
"Founded by Sheffield’s own Bring Me The Horizon frontman, Oli Sykes, this is a vegan paradise. The menu is full of delicious vegan junk food ranging from loaded fries to burgers, popcorn cauli bites and more. The decor is inspired by South American religious iconography, so it’s not just the food that’s insta worthy."
"Church is the side-project of Bring Me the Horizon frontman Oli Sykes and is a haven for a day of chilling out with your mates. Pool tables, computer consoles, retro arcade machines, and a full vegan bar, what more could you ask for?. The food comes courtesy of ‘Make no Bones’ who are serving up a full vegan menu."

"The most well-known Cantonese restaurant in Manchester, the Yang Sing recently celebrated its 40th anniversary. To celebrate the Year of the Pig, they have come up with a special set banquet on Sunday 10th February (£46pp), all accompanied by a martial arts demonstration, firecrackers and a private lion dance. Their banquet dishes win the award for the most poetic names and include ‘double dish prosperity toss’ as well as ‘longevity noodles’ (more here).Yang Sing, Canton House, 34 Princess Street, Manchester, M1 4JY. "As a Grade I listed building under the English Heritage Registry, the Chantry Chapel of St.Mary is an ancient and beautiful monument to Wakefield’s history. Although it is only open at specific times, making the extra effort to see this place is definitely worth it. Although small, many have praised it for its beautiful stained windows, its enriching history, and the complimentary tea and biscuits along with it!"
"This 13th-century church about a mile north of Macclesfield is the fourth church on this site. But what’s unusual is that the third church is still here, out among Medieval yew trees. There’s a Norman Romanesque chapel in the churchyard, dating to the 12th century, with semi-circular door and window arches and weathered but visible tympanum relief and lozenge patterns in the archivolts."
