The best vegan restaurants to try out in Liverpool
"As soon as you walk in to Moose you are instantly captivated by the chandeliers made out of antlers and can’t help but crack a smile upon noticing the paintings of famoose (we had to) historical figures with a moose’s head in the place of these notable character’s heads. Moose’s interior may be all fun and games but their coffee isn’t a laughing matter. Moose is one of the most popular breakfast and brunch spots in Liverpool for early birds and late bloomers and it’s for very good reason."
"With two branches in our city centre and pancakes so thick you need loose clothing, Moose Coffee is the ULTIMATE place for an American style breakfast or brunch. Their dishes are NYC inspired (as are the portion sizes) so expect epic stacks of both sweet and savoury pancakes, waffles, PB & J French toast and the creamiest scrambled eggs in Liverpool (to name but a few). Don’t neglect the specials board either, these chefs are geniuses!"
"13/06/2021: We visited here on 10th June, whilst staying in liverpool for a few days. This was recommended to us. I pre booked and upon arrival it was very busy, but only had to wait a few minutes for a table."
"This independent coffee shop is situated at the top of Bold Street near the bombed-out church, breakfast and lunch is served everyday until 4pm with a tasty selection of pastries, cakes, pasties, toasted sandwiches and specials. Coffee enthusiasts are bound to enjoy this place, with a great range of coffee available to try. Bold Street coffee does get quite busy at times due to its sheer popularity, but you can always take your food away though if you fancy grabbing a quick bite whilst meandering around the shops."
"Specialising in great coffee, this coffee shop is located in Liverpool’s version of Brick Lane – Bold Street. Serving breakfast options from £4 and main menu options from £5. Expect great coffee, great food and great music spinning on their record player."
"It doesn't get much better than taking an hour out to relax with a cup of coffee and Bold Street Coffee is the place to head. You can even buy their special coffee blends to take away with you. View this post on Instagram"
"About: Born from a love of good simple food and drink, Home Sweet Home is an American style cafe and Kitchen situated in the city's Northern Quarter. Stop by for your favourite home comfort foods and over the top indulgent delights. All sweet and savoury treats are freshly prepared, baked, and brewed in house daily."
"Home Sweet Home is an inevitable address for brunch-lovers in the Northern Quarter. If you are looking for some good comfort food, you are sure to find it here. We recommend the Eggs Cali."
"There’s regularly a queue stretching down the street for good reason, so make sure you arrive early on weekends as they run out of bagels fast!. With plain bagels costing £1, it’s easy to take a box of freshly baked bread away and build a bagel at home. Alternatively, The Bagelry offers a delicious range of fillings in the bagel of your choice."
"What these guys can’t tell you about bagels simply isn’t worth knowing. With every flavour and variety under the sun of our favourite baked snack, how they display them is every bit as delightful as eating them. Let’s face it, if you didn’t take a photo of your rainbow bagel, did you even eat it?"
"The Bagelry offers up all your favourite flavours of bagels, including those cool rainbow ones, and serves some brilliant coffee to wash it all down with too. Head over to grab your bagels to go and enjoy a walk around the city with a coffee. View this post on Instagram"
"Just a short tram ride away from the city centre is Slattery, the home of desserts and all things chocolate!. The Whitefield shop is full of surprises – including the Strawberry and Marshmallow Kebabs served with two chocolate pots filled with white and milk liquid Belgian chocolate – perfect for ‘dunking’ in!. Or you could really test yourself and try their Chocolate Challenge."

"🍰 A wonderfully chocolatey Afternoon Tea, cakes, waffles, ice cream and their super-sweet Chocolate Challenge (which is far more difficult than it looks!)"
"Chatwins Bakery have been making cakes, bread and savouries in Cheshire for over 100 years, passing traditional baking skills from father to son for four generations. Here you will find an array of delicious cakes and pastries baked fresh in store. You can buy whole Victoria Sponge, Battenberg or Swiss roll cakes or individual doughnuts, eclairs, tarts and much more."
"Right underneath some of Chester’s historic Tudor style buildings you will find Chatwins. One of the region’s largest bakeries and a great place to go for a good breakfast. Its location is great too right by all of the shops, the perfect place to start your day, Chatwins is a Cheshire run business that was founded in Nantwich!"
"A quirky dive bar on Fleet Street, Motel combines the spirit of American graphic novels with a post-punk edge to create a trendy establishment that is the perfect destination for any Ropewalk’s night out. Broody and intimate, inside you’ll find hipster-esque exposed brick work and a raw, industrial feel. The walls are covered in original artwork by illustrator Dave Baddeley and bold neon signs willing you to forego sleep."
"The restaurant offers a modern fusion twist of flavours from Poland. The concept was created by two food fanatics who took a humble Polish potato pancake and turned it into a taste fest. And with breakfast being arguably everyone’s favourite meal of the day, Platzki’s brunch menu is perfect for those who are tired of eating the same old avocado on toast."
"Starting life as a street food stall, Platzki is a slick Polish restaurant that has gone from strength to strength. Expect queues at this Spinningfields spot, which serves up a weekly menu of goodies, including the likes of dumplings, slow-braised ribs and beetroot gnocchi."
"You can grab cheap drinks and food from the chatty staff and spend the evening chilling in the cosy interior. Sitting in the beer garden on a sunny evening is also nice. View this post on Instagram"
