"Now admittedly as the name suggests this next place is more of a garden than a park but it is stunning nevertheless, and definitely deserves its spot on the list of best parks in Sheffield. There are two pedestrian entrances for the Botanical Gardens, the main entrance is on Clarkehouse Road; there isn’t a car park here but there is parking available on the various side roads surrounding the gardens. The second entrance is on Thompson road just off the bustling ecclesall road."

Displaying more than 5,000 different species of plants, the Sheffield Botanical Gardens span more than 19 acres (8ha) of land and were first opened in 1836. The gardens feature beautiful glass pavilions, as well as an old bear pit and a spectacular main gateway."

"The Botanical Gardens are just down the road from Endcliffe Park but are also a prime picnic spot. The cafe does great coffee, which you can enjoy whilst sitting amongst plants from all over the world. But the best spot in the springtime is just in front of the beautiful crocuses."

"If I could only visit one place in the Peak District with kids or without it would be Chatsworth House. The House and Grounds are extensive and any absolute must for any UK bucket list!. I personally love wandering around the House and learning more about this history of the family however this probably won’t be the favourite activity of those travelling with small children."

"Eyam Hall is a historic manor house located just outside of Sheffield. The house was built in 1671 and is a well-preserved example of Jacobean architecture. The Hall and its garden are now open to the public so you can learn about the history about the building and life in the 17th century."
