"Fletcher Moss Park is a wide network of paths around the area around the Gardens, through Stenner Woods, round Millgate Fields, and along the river Mersey. Much of the area is a Local Nature reserve and there is a variety of wildlife to see and vistas to enjoy. At first, finding your way around can be a little confusing, and a map of the area might help."
"Bounded to the west by the city walls, the Chester Roman Gardens were plotted by the curator of the Grosvenor Museum, Graham Webster in 1949. The park was laid out in the run up to the 1951 Festival of Britain and has ancient architectural fragments found during the 19th-century excavations of Deva’s baths and military buildings like the Principia. There’s a row of columns from the exercise hall in the main bathhouse, once almost two metres high."
"This adorable Green Flag garden is the vestige of an estate founded in South Warrington in the 1830s. The house was occupied by three generations of the Parr family, but was demolished in 1970 after years of neglect. In spite of the disuse, the walled garden survived and is now as beautiful as ever, with three ponds, herbaceous borders, fruit espaliers and vegetable plots."
"While the country house at Hare Hill Hall is privately owned, the garden is cared for by the National Trust. The star here is the walled garden, a blaze of colour in early-summer when the rhododendrons and azaleas burst into flower. There are also uncommon varieties of poppy, iris, lupin, phlox and echinacea."
"Indigo Greens have been changing dietary perceptions across the North West, providing restaurant quality vegan cuisine available for delivery or collection. All their dishes are 100% vegan and cruelty free, consisting of organic, natural and plant based ingredients. They have their existing meal food prep portions and drinks available for collection, but as an eatery they have a delicious set menu all day with new specials too."
"Crowned the best vegan restaurant in the UK during the 2019 Vegfest UK Awards, it would be rude of us not to pay Indigo Greens a (virtual) visit this month. A go-to for those seeking plant-based fuel in the Liverpool vicinity, this is vegan food with finesse. From loaded toasts and wholesome chilled breakfasts to grilled plates, nibbles - and a mean Sunday roast."
"The Church is housed within a beautifully converted former church and retains much of its original charm. The venue features a charming Gallery Restaurant, a breezy terrace and bellini bar."
