"The World Museum is one of Liverpool’s biggest museums, featuring exhibits on natural science, historical culture, space and more. The museum has existed since 1851 but has been renovated multiple times to accommodate its growing collections (and popularity with visitors!) The museum currently houses an aquarium and live bug house, home to a variety of exotic beasties. There is even a planetarium which puts on regular shows for those interested in astronomy."

"Original use: Many regard Speke Hall, a beautiful Tudor manor house, as one of the finest surviving Liverpool buildings of its kind. The hall was originally created for the Norris family, who owned the property for many generations. Construction began on the wood-framed manor house in 1530, with some buildings on the site built even earlier and incorporated into the property."

"A treasured monument and attraction in Warrington, Walton Hall is a Jacobean Revival mansion, built in the 1830s for Sir Gilbert Greenall, an MP who had a 45-year career at the House of Commons. The house has been owned by the council since 1941 and hosts chamber music concerts and can be hired out for weddings and other events. Immediately outside the house is a formal garden, while there are ample facilities for families in the park."

"The top secret underground bunker on Rumford Street is an absolutely fascinating piece of wartime history and its maze of rooms and WWII artefacts will be open again to visitors, every day from May 17.
