Cheap eats Manchester: 12 of the best value restaurants
"You must have been living under a rock if you haven't heard of Rudy's. The Neapolitan pizza masters only recently started doing takeaway (only collection at first) around lockdown, but we're so happy they're keeping it up - those queues and bookings out the wazoo at their Peter Street and Ancoats locations are impossible at times. They even started selling 'Bake at Home' kits, though you really need a proper oven to make it the way they do."
"Listed amongst the world’s best pizzerias in international pizza guide, Where To Eat Pizza, Rudy’s Pizza has grown from a pop-up project into a full blown word-of-mouth phenomenon."

"If you're looking for somewhere with a bit of history, then look no further than Kirkstall Abbey. The giant Gothic building is a former Cistercian monastery which was built in the 12th Century and the sheer scale of the structure is still breathtaking (and award-winning) in this day and age. Nowadays though, it embraces modern life with a monthly market and other events inside the walls of the Abbey, while the open spaces on the banks of the River Aire are the perfect spot to unwind."
"This historic Leeds landmark is one of the most intact examples of a medieval Cistercian abbey in the UK. Aside from the ruins themselves, which you’re free to explore, there are 24 hectares of parkland here, so pack a picnic and find a spot next to the scenic River Aire. Visit on the last weekend of the month and you can also make the most of Kirkstall Abbey Deli Market, which offers a delectable mix of street food and fresh local produce."
"The Pendle Heritage Centre sits right at the heart of Lancashire’s hill country beside an ancient crossing of Pendle water. The gallery and craft shop offer displays of work and exhibitions by professional crafts people and artists, while the museum contains a wealth of information about the history and development of the farmhouse."
"If you fancy some retail therapy whilst visiting North Yorkshire many of the larger towns and cities such as Skipton, Ilkley, Harrogate, and York have a vast array of high street stores to temp you with the very latest in designer fashion, jewellery and much more."
"Dress up as a Victorian, visit several rooms, have lunch in the café, or take part in a guided tour. A really fun way to learn about Victorian and Mancunian history. Highly recommended for children, book, music and history lovers."
"If you’re looking for a Sunday brunch with friends, East 59th is doubtless the best option in the city. The rooftop restaurant and bar is located on the third floor of Victoria Gate shopping centre. East 59th brings you contemporary dining in a sophisticated Manhattan-style restaurant."
"Address: Victoria Gate, 3rd Floor Rooftop, George St, Leeds LS2 7AU. Phone number: 0113 426 5050. East 59th boasts a sophisticated Manhattan-style rooftop restaurant, where you can drink and dine in style."
