"You must have been living under a rock if you haven't heard of Rudy's. The Neapolitan pizza masters only recently started doing takeaway (only collection at first) around lockdown, but we're so happy they're keeping it up - those queues and bookings out the wazoo at their Peter Street and Ancoats locations are impossible at times. They even started selling 'Bake at Home' kits, though you really need a proper oven to make it the way they do."
"Rudy’s is another great pit stop for vegans, with their specials board often providing a different dairy-free option every week. Rudy’s Neapolitan pizza dough is 100% vegan, and alongside their stunning marinara, any pizza on the menu can be asked for without cheese. No wonder they’re labelled the best pizzas in town."

Don Giovanni’s has been one of the city’s most well-known Italian restaurants for over thirty years, providing gimmick-free meals with a focus on traditional Mediterranean ingredients. "05/06/2021: It was the best Margarette pizza I’ve ever eaten. The chef was so friendly and so was waitress. The environment was authentic."
"Standing high above the picturesque village of Castleton are the imposing ruins of Peveril Castle, one of England’s earliest Norman fortresses. After an exhilarating climb from the village you are rewarded with breath-taking panoramic views over Hope Valley from the top of the hill. All that survives of the castle today is the atmospheric keep, built by Henry II in 1176."
"The imposing ruins of Peveril Castle stand high above the pretty village of Castleton. A climb to the castle at the top of the hill to enjoy the breathtaking views over the Hope Valley is a highlight of a family day out in Castleton. Explore the remains of the keep including the garderobe (medieval lavatory)!"
"The first Instagrammable place that we visited in Manchester was a trendy coffee and breakfast spot called Hampton and Vouis, which reminded me of a show home in a luxury property development. I really liked the pink colours and beautiful designs and if you’re looking for a perfect photo spot in Manchester that is not so busy in the morning, head there!. If you need to store your luggage in a safe place, while you’re exploring the city, I recommend using LuggageHero – they have a lot of storage locations and amazing rates."
"Taking great pride its award-winning speciality coffee, Hampton & Vouis is still open this weekend in the heart of the city centre to grab yourself a freshly-brewed cup to go. 31 Princess Street, Manchester, M2 4EW. You can find more information via the Hampton & Vouis website here."
"Java Bar Espresso is Manchester’s oldest independent coffee shop. ‘Java’ being the slang word for ‘coffee’ in the states, incorporating Italian coffee and a European past, this is one historical coffee shop you’ll want to visit. Located in Victoria Station, this place opens especially early just for you on your way into work, and closes late for those of you making your way home."
"Ramona have been giving us our click-and-collect pizza fix throughout lockdown and have just announced the opening of a beer garden at their NQ base. Complete with campfires, DJ sets and a margarita bar, Ramona is the place to be on the 14th. Bookings are now live and if you need an indication of how good the pizza is, their site crashed on launch day!"
"One of the newest kids on the block is the stunning Indigo Hotel near Victoria Station. The building retains many of its original features and has a laid back bohemian vibe with 187 bedrooms styled to reflect Manchester’s industrial past. The Mamucium Restaurant and Bar is overseen by former Lowry Hotel executive chef Andrew Green, so if it’s tempting tapas you’re looking for, or you just fancy some locally sourced beers, Hotel Indigo has it all."
"Right above the desk of the reception you’ll see these baskets hanging from the ceiling. The restaurant of the hotel is also very photogenic."
"Shakedown make some ridiculously good milkshakes – even have one tailor-made for Mancunians; the Manchester Bee Shake with Honeycomb Pieces, Honey Comb Syrup & Whipped Cream. There’s also an Oreo-infused shake packed with cookies and cream, and a tantalising menu chocked full of waffle creations from a classic flavour of fresh strawberries and chocolate sauce. The pick of the bunch is perhaps the Road Block: Which is stuffed with Oreos, Crispy M&Ms, White Kinder Bueno, White Chocolate Drizzle and Nutella Drizzle."
