"No best-of restaurant list is complete without pizza, and luckily Manchester is well-known for its popular pizzeria Rudy's Pizza. Known for its "proper" Neapolitan pizza, Rudy's a casual spot that's ideal for families and groups but is also cool enough for couples and pairs of friends. There are several locations throughout Manchester, and you won't go wrong at any of them."
"Rudy’s is an institution here in Manchester, with two regularly busy sites throwing authentic Neapolitan pizza like there’s no tomorrow. While they predominantly only serve pizza, the food is so good, there really isn’t much need for anything else. In fact, they’ve mastered the art so well, they’ve been named one of the top ten pizzerias in the whole world."
"This charming Oxford Road Italian is a popular choice for celebrations and has previously been awarded the gong for the most romantic Italian restaurant in the UK. With proposals happening here every weekend if you’re thinking to pop the question this Valentine’s, trust you’ll be in safe hands at Don Giovanni."
"An extensive menu of Italian classics are served at Don Giovannis in the heart of Manchester. Perfect for pre-theatre meals, the restaurant serves pasta, pizzas, hearty mains and salads, as well as irresistible Italian desserts. A bustling ambience is…"
"This BYOB pizza restaurant in Manchester also happens to serve up some of the city's best plant-based slices. Chomp away on vegan pizza such as the classic marinara, trichome topped rustica and bianca neve with Portobello mushroom and truffle oil in chilled surroundings."
"The Villaggio Hotel in Warrington is a family run hotel with an Al a Carte Restaurant & Bar specialising in Italian Cuisine. Situated 5 minutes from Warrington Town Centre and 25 minutes from both Manchester and Liverpool airports. With easy access to the M6, M62 and M56."
"Vapiano are renowned for making their irresistible Italian meals from scratch, so you know that they're using only the freshest ingredients to make their veggie dishes. Dine on the crema di funghi and pesto basilico pasta alongside vegetable-topped pizzas."
"Lupo Caffè Italiano, located at the Boat Shed, Exchange Quay, serves award-winning Italian coffee. Italian-flavours continue to run through its daily-changing menu which has previous included crostatina with nutella, stuffed peppers and pistachio, and white chocolate muffins. The cafe also makes Italian birthday cakes with custom designs."
"Four floors of achingly cool at Yes are topped off with a handsome roof terrace for a snug indoor-outdoor vibe. Unapologetically hip yet still welcoming, Yes is always buzzing with a fashionable, music-led crowd. Negronis on tap and a decent range of local beers as well as a rotating pop-up kitchen that has included vegan "chicken" burgers from Manchester stalwarts Firebird Hope, Pepperoni Playboy pizza and currently vegan kebabs from Donner Summer."
"YES sprawls over several floors, from a ground-floor bar to an entirely pink club room. They've added a beer garden at ground level now too but the roof terrace - dotted with hanging plants - is our favourite. They've got house cocktails on tap in the neighbouring attic bar too."
"Lightoaks Park is a larger and popular park in Salford, officially opened in 1925. The park is maintained by a large and active group of volunteers – The Friends of Lightoaks Park. In normal times, the group organise regular events for the local community, as well as maintain the park to a high standard."
"And so we get to our number one, best park in Salford as voted for by 44.5% of participants in my survey. Light Oaks Park it seems is the one that many people see as the park to go to in the city. Situated in Claremont, the park was opened in 1925 and is one of the larger parks in Salford."
"Greater Manchester Police Museum, 57a Newton Street, Manchester, Greater Manchester, M1 1ET - Visit now. At the Greater Manchester Police Museum you can stand in the dock, see make-shift riot weapons – such as a soap in a sock – and try the feel of a wooden pillow. No news on the museum opening again just yet, but there’s plenty from their collection to explore online – just head over to their website."
"This is a one of a kind museum, and a surprisingly free place to visit in Manchester. Housed in a former police station, the Greater Manchester Police Museum gives you a peek into local crime stories, how the police works, and how it has evolved over the years. There are artefacts, a court room, cells, and police vehicles and uniforms through several decades on display."
"Established in 1981, the Greater Manchester Police Museum pulls back the curtain on the day to day life of the bobbies on the beat, from back in the day to the …"
"In fact, other than my occasional pilgrimages to the Grindsmith Pod, I think the last time was when I attended the original Cup North in 2014. So I am indebted to the Best Coffee App for drawing me to Chapel Street and the gem that is Another Heart To Feed, a Melbourne-inspired coffee shop and kitchen which opened in March this year, serving food from an all-day brunch menu and some excellent coffee from London’s Union. There’s the usual espresso-based menu, with Union’s Bright Note as the house-blend, plus a single-origin on pour-over through the V60 and another available as bulk-brew filter."
