The Most Delicious Places To Get Takeaway Lunch in Liverpool
"Continuing a theme of Coffee Spots in glorious Victorian shopping arcades, I present Pot Kettle Black (PKB), which has been gracing Manchester’s coffee scene since the start of October 2014. The Barton Arcade, home of PKB, is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen and PKB takes its lead from there, with gorgeous external features and some of the most ornate and sumptuous window art there is. Stepping inside, PKB is one of the most beautifully-appointed coffee shops I’ve ever visited."
"Pot Kettle Black, Unit 14, Barton Arcade Deansgate, Manchester, Greater Manchester, M3 2BW - Visit now. Tucked away beneath the beautiful glass roof of Burton’s Arcade is specialist coffee shop Pot Kettle Black – vigilant against over roasting, this place presents its brews in trademark red mugs, served with a glass of water and a Viennese wafer. It’s spacious, cosy, and that little bit off the beaten track."
"Well, we think you should venture on down to Pot Kettle Black located in Barton Arcade. Whether you want to fill that hole in your tummy, or just need your coffee-fix, this place has got you covered. Let their talented Baristas make you a cup of coffee that will take you to beverage heaven."
"Just a block down the street from the mighty North Tea Power, and a few steps along Oldham Street from its junction with Church Street, is relative newcomer to Manchester’s coffee scene, Fig + Sparrow. Established in 2013, it’s half life-style shop, half café, but 100% excellent. Serving an espresso-based menu using beans from London’s Climpson and Sons, with guest filters on Aeropress and Chemex, plus loose-leaf tea from Newcastle’s Ringtons, Fig + Sparrow also does food."
"Located at the back of a fabulous gift shop, Fig and Sparrow is one of the newest additions to the Northern Quarter, and rapidly becoming a favourite. Do a little bit of shopping in the boutique, and relax with a cup of something warm in the coffee shop. There is a great selection of healthy snacks on offer here, as well as some old fashioned cold drinks, and homemade cakes; all served up by someone pretty wearing a vintage apron."
"Fig and Sparrow, 20 Oldham Street, Manchester, Greater Manchester, M1 1JN - Visit now. This design-store-cum-coffee-bar ticks two boxes at once; shopping for beautiful gifts, and sipping a well-crafted coffee. The interior is warm and welcoming with a stripped-back, Scandinavian vibe."
"One of Liverpool’s best loved restaurants, Clockworks is a hidden gem on Wolstenholme Square that specialises in hearty food, ales and signature cocktails. Housed in an historic building, the interior stays true to its past. With the combination of exposed red brick, steel and iron they have managed to create a comfortable and unique look back into a twisted industrial era."
"Clockworks dabble in proper British grub, from an early-morning fry-up right round to a traditional Sunday Roast all. Meaty Brunch dishes on offer include ham hock benedict or a juicy pork belly on sourdough. Veggies need not worry as there are a range of waffles, veggie breakfasts and hearty porridge and granola bowls on offer."
"Clockworks “offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, specialising in twisted British classics. We stick to what we do well – classic food and cocktails. Our food is often a little indulgent, but always comforting, tasty and entirely traceable."
"A popular spot among Mancs for both coffee and brunch, Federal Cafe & Bar has an array of coffees on offer for both drink-in or takeaway. But in addition to their high-quality coffees, the much-loved cafe also serves Australian fave Hot Milo, as well as hot drinks such as beetroot latte, turmeric latte and matcha green tea. Basically, it’s a haven for hot drinks."
"Making a name for themselves on the local culinary scene, Federal has become a brunch favourite for tourists and locals. If their photos featuring delicious meals won't bring you in, the nearly 5-star rating across the board should. Open daily and serving all-day brunch, this is the place to visit if you get that breakfast craving."
"Even though there are so many great brunches in Manchester, I always gravitate back to Federal. I love the halloumi veggie bagel and the mushrooms and poached eggs on sourdough. None of the brunch dishes are more than £7.50 in Federal which means you can include a coffee and still pay less than £10 for brunch."
"Why: Traditional breakfast dishes grace the menu at Bill’s, with a full English and stacks of pancakes featuring. For something a little healthier there’s a whole section on eggs (yes, including of course eggs with avocado toast) and a garden plate which includes eggs, roasted tomatoes, charred peppers, smashed avocado, mushrooms and more. Where: 8-12 John Dalton Street, M2 6JP"
"Let's face it, nothing gets you through a difficult day in the office quite like a really great lunch. So forget about soggy sandwiches, sad salads and sweaty scotch eggs. The best lunch spots in Manchester are on hand to transform your day for the better."
"Giraffe is on the first floor in The Orient and is close to the escalators to the ground floor with plenty of room for buggies. The city centre also has a branch, in Spinningfields."
"Don’t be put off by the surroundings and the decor because what key Lime Coffee lacks in personality it makes up for with its fresh leaf teas, coffees and food. They sell a surprisingly large range of vegan cakes and the cafe has a sunny disposition opposite Lime Street Station. The cafe has some comfy seating to the back wall and in the windows."
"Liverpool has such a fantastically friendly community as this cool café goes to show. This independent coffee shop serves freshly prepared brekkie… all day!. They have an American style all-day brunch with lots of gluten-free and veggie-friendly options."
"Situated just along from the Arndale, this Northern Quarter cafe is perfect for a healthy shopping break. It features all of our favourite kinds of healthy food, such as banana bread (well, it does contain fruit), smashed avocado and French toast. It’s also ranked 11/1,752 restaurants in Manchester on TripAdvisor, so we really think we’re onto a winner with this one!"
"Having conquered Northern Quarter with their Aussie-style brunch bowls, Federal has opened another charming spot in Deansgate. Expect the same easy breezy vibes, alongside healthy plates that include a winning banana bread."
"City-centre favourite Federal offers an all-day brunch until 6pm, as well as a range of sandwiches, bagels and amazing coffee. We recommend The Turkish Eggs. View this post on Instagram"
