"Bundobust is another one of these underdogs which is completely turning the concept of ‘fine cuisine’ entirely on its head. No longer does good food feel the need to be served on white table clothes on fine Bone China and washed down with a 2005 Saint Emilion Grand Cru. Nowhere teaches us this lesson better than Bundobust with its 100% vegetarian Indian street food served in paper trays, paper cups and with as much craft beer as you can pour down your gullet."
"The Brasserie at The Ivy in Manchester do a Saturday and Sunday Brunch (and bank holidays). The restaurant itself is a beautiful art deco inspired space. With options like Truffle Arancini, Zucchini fritti, Eggs Benedict and Avocado Benedict, as well as Hot Buttermilk Pancakes for those (like me) with a sweet tooth!"
"Health food eatery and juicery, The Garden in Hale has a range of vegetarian and vegan all day brunch dishes like buckwheat pancakes and chia flax porridge, as well as sandwiches, salads and veg-packed bowls. Order via Uber Eats and Deliveroo."

"Find Down The Hatch in a trendy basement on Duke Street, with vegetarian and vegan junk food – including ‘chicken’ wings, loaded fries, and vegan ‘bratwurst’ – that will prove plant-based doesn't always have to mean healthy salads. The restaurant loves dogs as much as you do, with its favourite four-legged visitors often featuring on its Instagram page so make sure your pup is feeling photogenic, just in case!. Basement, 62 Duke Street, L1 5AA"
"Down the Hatch opened last year, serving vegetarian and vegan junk food, ranging from deep fried veggies to cauliflower five ways. The restaurant has quickly gained a reputation for itself, serving dishes such as 'Just Beet It', which includes a falafel style patty, beetroot hummus, roasted red peppers, rocket, tomato and balsamic dressing. 62 Duke St, Liverpool, England"

"Family-run deli-restaurant The Quarter offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and they even do home deliveries. So there’s really no excuse for not trying out this Italian restaurant. You’ll almost certainly be able to smell the delicious food from The Quarter before you see it as they also offer a range of fresh homemade bread and pastries to buy."
"Not only does The Quarter serve some of the best food in the city, their outdoor seating area is one of the prettiest. Relax in the surroundings of The Georgian Quarter and you might just forget you’re in Liverpool."

"Praised for its “guilty pleasure” food, Good Food clearly love a good old dirty burger at Manchester’s Almost Famous. They say: “Love or loathe its loud and lairy, ‘in-yer-face additood’, there is no denying that Almost Famous is Manchester’s foremost exponent of Frazzle-dusted fries, hot ‘pho-king’ wings and other gut-busting ‘dude food’."
"This micro-bakery is tucked away just off Hardman Street but you really do not want to miss it. Perhaps my favourite of the bakeries I visited, this tiny little shop has the most incredible looking sourdough loaves, doughnuts in every flavour you can imagine and the friendliest staff. I can see why there is so much hype in the city around this place, the doughnuts are just that good – my mum even felt the need to tell the girls working there that it was ‘the best doughnut she’s ever had’."
"A post shared by The Wild Loaf (@the_wild_loaf) on Feb 13, 2019 at 3:02am PST. Tucked away just off Hardman Street, The Wild Loaf micro-bakery is a real hidden gem of Liverpool. Their doughnuts are mini marvels filled with heavenly flavour combination and our favourites are topped with delicious fresh fruit and cream."
"Liverpool is a city of makers and dreamers and every now and then, those two come together in fantastic fashion. Jessica Doyle is an art student by trade, but is now less Jackson Pollock and more sourdough. If you see one of her loaves, you can see her degree wasn’t wasted, they’re pure art in their very own right."
