Your guide to eating out on Bold Street, Liverpool in 2021
"A great choice for Indian street food and craft beers, Bundobust never disappoints. Think okra fries, bhaji butties and paneer tikka washed down with drinks from natural wines and IPAs to quirky cocktails."
"The Ivy's roof garden is one of the most glamorous places in the city, perfect for celeb-watching. Opulent fabrics, masses of plants and a retractable roof (plus essential heaters) make it an luxurious hangout in all weathers. You can order from a huge menu of food, including afternoon teas and brunches."
"With three sprawling levels that include a traditional brasserie, modern Asian bar and stunning rooftop space, there's plenty of choice at The Ivy. Nab a spot at the Spinningfields favourite and indulge in all-day dining with alluring cocktails to match."

"For many years it was difficult to be a vegetarian and to indulge in junk food in the same way that meat eaters do. It just didn’t have the same feeling to go out for vegetarian or vegan food, as say, to head out to a burger joint and pig out for the night. Thankfully things have changed, and although there is still a degree of making vegetarian and vegan meals look like their meat equivalents, it’s about much more than that."
"Where: Duke Street (lunch service Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only). Vegan’s and veggies this is a Friday treat for your lunch in Liverpool and meat eaters who don’t mind missing their daily meat intake for the day, you should give it a go to. Simply put the menu consists of junk food made from vegan and veggie goodness including delectable dishes such as tofu burgers, seitan strips and BBQ pulled jackfruit."
"Whilst being renowned for its food, the venue is understated for its romance. The Quarter brings the best of Europe together; the road looks like something out of Amsterdam, the decor is reminiscent of Paris and the food is Italian inspired. It doesn’t get much more continental than that."
"The Quarter on Falkner Square offers the littles ones a whole menu for themselves. They can choose from a selection of pastas and pizzas with ice cream for dessert, all for £6.50. There is even a children’s breakfast menu for if you’re looking for somewhere to eat in the morning."
"The Quarter in the Georgian Quarter of town is a beautiful spot to grab a picture. Sit outside on the cute little tables, grab some breakfast and people watch on the old cobbled street. View this post on Instagram"
"In Princes Dock, Malmaison Liverpool boasts a state-of-the-art gym, boutique-style rooms and the sleek Brasserie restaurant. Designer shopping districts and rail stations are all just 1 mile away. Every modern room has free Wi-Fi, an LCD flat-screen TV, and a luxury private bathroom."
"The Malmaison chain’s only purpose-built property offers a prime dockside location, a glamorous interior décor and river views as well as a cool restaurant and bar that attracts plenty of non-guests to the hotel."
"If you want to fill your fridge with a few days’ worth of nourishing, vegan food with a Middle Eastern influence, get a delivery from The Ottömen. Stockport’s own veggie lockdown food saviours are more used to dishing up at sociable food markets like Grub but their transition online has worked really well as we found when we reviewed one of their veggie mezze bundles. The vegan options are plentiful."
"A gin garden located on New Bird Street in the Baltic Triangle area of the city, head to The Botanical Garden for your hit of Vitamin D and plenty of pickling from some delicious gin-based cocktails in one of the best outdoor cocktail bars Liverpool hosts. This outdoor establishment offers plenty of mixes with mother’s ruin, with past favourites including the New Bird Warmer (cherry-infused fin with hot ginger ale and all the fruit), plus the chance to taste some of Liverpool’s very own alcohols from local distilleries, such as Liverpool Gin and Turncoat. 49 New Bird St L1 0BW"
"This gin-filled gem hidden away in the Baltic Triangle will be opening up their outdoor dining area in April and it’s just the tonic after months in lockdown. Draped in fairy lights and decorated with an array of plants it’s a dreamy set up to enjoy a few drinks. Hopefully later in the year, they’ll be able to open their greenhouse for extra seating and botanical vibes, as well as bring back their delicious gin slushies."

Let’s be honest, you were going to make the trip to the iconic Mathew Street anyway; so why not hit up the best in the biz when it comes to laughs?. This legendary Rubber Soul Bar in the heart of the original birth street of The Beatles hosts comedy on the first Thursday of every month – with both local talent as well as UK comedians."
"Serving the most delicious and well-portioned breakfast meals, their pancakes are a real highlight for guests. Stacked high with all the toppings, menu items include berries and cream, banoffee, peanut butter and bacon with maple syrup. Each stack includes three buttermilk pancakes, and there’s even vegan options available too!"
"As far as theatrical experiences go, nothing comes close to the thrill of catching a live show. Be it a drama, a comedy act, a musical, Shakespeare or some combination of them all, Manchester’s thriving arts scene make it one of the best places to take in theatre. The Royal Exchange building and its theatre have survived a lot, having been badly damaged during both World War II and the Manchester bombing in 1996."
"The Royal Exchange Theatre is located just off St Ann’s Square in the city centre and has seen performances from some of the UK’s leading actors including Maxine Peake and Julie Hesmondhalgh. The Module theatre is a seven-sided, glass-walled capsule that is suspended in the centre of the Great Hall and means that all seats are less than nine metres from the stage."
"This authentic Brazilian steakhouse features continuous table side service of different prime cuts of meat, including beef, chicken, pork and lamb. The vast range of mouth watering meats are cooked on an open fire and then carved at the table right in front of you, where you can pick how much you want. Located on Queen Square near to Liverpool Lime Street Station, Copacabana is in a prime location, perfect if you fancy a few drinks after your meal!"
"Ice Shack is an all-vegan dessert parlour that offers a nice treat for all people that have sweet tooth but are also on a special diet. Established in 2016 and rooted for a family’s love of desserts, they make way to share their enthusiasm and love with other people particular those under a vegan diet. Offering 0% dairy, they use a range of alternatives including truffles to offer a sweet and nice treat."
