10 of Manchester’s best restaurants and food markets
"Mayur Patel’s family has been cooking some of Britain’s best meat-free Gujarati food for several decades at Prashad restaurant in West Yorkshire. The Bundobust co-owner continues that work in this basement canteen on Piccadilly, where next-level chaat, chole saag, tarka dal, vada pav (the Indian veggie burger) and Bundo’s own bhaji butty are served in street food-style pots alongside A1 craft beers. Bundobust’s taps now feature hazy pale Peela and chai porter Chaitro – the first releases from its new brewery on Oxford Road, which should open to the public in late August."

The best places to go for pancakes in Manchester

There's a sweet special of a mango and rose dosa that's served with a sweet cardamom yoghurt, salted mango and pomegranate seeds. The sweet dosa is available until March 1 for £5, or today you can get the savoury and sweet dosa in a combo deal for £10."

15 of the best vegan menus delivered in Greater Manchester
"In February 2020 BC (before Covid) we got all excited with a visit to their about-to-open second Manchester branch on Oxford Road but it remains closed as we pine for a cold beer and a hot bhaji on a long table more than ever. We’ll have to make do with Deliveroo for now. It’s all veggie, as existing fans will know, but vegans have plenty to love from the iconic vada pav to the famous broccoli, kale and onion bhajis."

The best brunch and breakfast in Manchester: 21 places to kick-start your day
"Why:A Bavarian beer hall in Manchester might not scream breakfast or brunch to you, but this venue in fact houses its very own bakery, meaning fresh bread and pastries whenever you visit. Each day brings its own unique artisan loaf, with the weekends being reserved for an olive and thyme fougasse on Saturdays, and Sundays seeing a roasted fig and hazelnut loaf on offer. For a sweeter start to the day indulge in a morning bun which is made from croissant dough doused in cinnamon sugar and hot chocolate sauce."

"The Beach House is arguably the most ‘classy’ of restaurants in Blackpool and whilst not aimed mainly at families, is very welcoming and does have special family days (think last one we went to was Christmas to visit Santa). Probably the easiest restaurant to find, The Beach House is on the ‘sea-side’ of the promenade almost opposite the tower. The food is fresh and delicious and varied…."

"as the name would suggest, our last suggestions may not ‘geographically’ qualify as Blackpool…… but its right on the boarder (basically, on Blackpool Airport..and has a Blackpool postcode….. which makes us wonder if they’re just being posh by putting ‘lytham’ in the name lol) and one which a lot of you will pass without knowing on your way into the town. Just off Squires Gate lane is located the Lytham Spitfire Centre. For a fiver (per adult – kids £3 ands under 10’s free!!) you can look around the centre and see some of the spitfire restoration going on plus….."
