"Manchester Cathedral has undergone extensive restoration works, both in the Victorian era and in recent years, following damage from the 1996 IRA bombing of the city centre. The cathedral has existed in some form on the site since medieval times, and holds artifacts that date back to Manchester’s existence as a Saxon settlement. The main body of this Gothic cathedral was originally constructed in the late 15th century, overseen by church warden James Stanley."

"Right next to the Football Museum, you can find the beautiful Manchester Cathedral. While I have as much with churches as I have with football, I did have a quick look inside and the architecture was beautiful:"

"Sheffield Cathedral is one of five Grade I listed buildings in the city, along with Town Hall, Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet, and the parish churches at Ecclesfield and Bradfield. It is located in the city centre on Church Street and served by Sheffield Supertram's Cathedral stop. The East end of the current church is the oldest."

"This is one of Sheffield’s oldest buildings and is situated in the heart of this great city. Stones from a Norman Church can be seen in the east wall. Tudor monuments which include Mary Queen of Scots during her fourteen years of imprisonment in Sheffield are located in the chapel."

After an exhilarating climb from the village you are rewarded with breath-taking panoramic views over Hope Valley from the top of the hill. All that survives of the castle today is the atmospheric keep, built by Henry II in 1176."

"This 13th-century church about a mile north of Macclesfield is the fourth church on this site. But what’s unusual is that the third church is still here, out among Medieval yew trees. There’s a Norman Romanesque chapel in the churchyard, dating to the 12th century, with semi-circular door and window arches and weathered but visible tympanum relief and lozenge patterns in the archivolts."

The park covers almost 75 acres of land and is a Green Flag Award winning site. A multi million pound restoration project from 1999 - 2005 regenerated the landscape and restored it to its original Victorian character."

"Norfolk Heritage Park is a local park located outside the city center in the south of Sheffield. This park has a large play area, spaces for a picnic, event space, and woodland. Their adventure play area in the middle of the woods is largely made out of steel."
